Getting to Vail
We are so excited to celebrate with you in the Colorado mountains! Because Vail is a destination wedding, we wanted to provide a few travel tips to help make your journey as smooth as possible.
Flying to Vail
Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is the closest airport to Vail and Beaver Creek, located approximately 30 minutes from our wedding venues. Direct flights are available from many major cities during the summer months and are often the easiest option.
Denver International Airport (DEN) is another great choice and typically offers a wider selection of flights. From Denver, Vail is approximately a 2.5-hour drive through the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Transportation
Rental cars are available at both airports and are a great option if you plan to explore the area during your stay. Shuttle services and private transportation are also available from both Denver and Eagle airports.
If you are flying into Denver, several shuttle companies provide transportation directly to Vail and Beaver Creek. We recommend looking into Epic Mountain Express, as well as other shuttle services available online. Booking transportation in advance is highly encouraged, especially during busy travel weekends.
Please note that Uber and Lyft services in Vail and Beaver Creek can be limited, particularly during peak travel times and late evenings. We strongly encourage guests to plan transportation in advance and not rely on rideshare services as their primary mode of transportation throughout the weekend.
A Friendly Altitude Warning
Welcome to 8,150 feet!
Vail's mountain air is amazing... but it might hit a little harder than your espresso martini.
Start hydrating before your trip (and keep it up while you're here), take it easy your first day, and maybe don't try to outdrink the locals until you've adjusted. A light jacket is also a good idea—mountain weather loves to keep everyone guessing. If you end up with a headache, feel a little winded, or wonder why one flight of stairs suddenly feels like Everest, don't panic—that's just the altitude saying hello.
A little water, rest, and fresh mountain air usually do the trick.
