Our Story

Every great love story starts somewhere. Ours started with a group project.

In the spring semester of our sophomore year at TCU, God worked through one of life's most unexpected vessels: a random group assignment in Professor Chikotsky's Marketing class. While most students were busy wondering how little work they could contribute to a semester-long project, Landon had a different concern. He looked at his good friend, pointed across the room, and asked three life-changing words: "Who is that?" As fate (and the professor's online sorting engine) would have it, we spent the rest of the semester working together. The marketing project was eventually completed. More importantly, so was the first chapter of our story. What followed was a series of ice cream dates, sushi dates, long walks, and increasingly creative excuses to spend time together. Somewhere between all the conversations and dessert runs, we fell in love.

Now, if you've spent any amount of time around us, you've probably noticed something: we're basically the same person. We think alike, laugh at the same things, share the same sense of adventure, and somehow never run out of things to talk about.Whether we're skiing down a mountain, hiking a trail, planning our next trip, or debating where to get ice cream, life simply makes more sense when we're together.

Like any relationship, our journey has included seasons of growth that ultimately brought us back to one another with a stronger foundation and an even greater appreciation for what we share. During our years at TCU, we made the most of every opportunity to spend time together. Whether it was attending formals, cheering on the Horned Frogs, studying between classes, or simply walking across campus to see each other, we were inseparable. We lived just three blocks apart and became experts at arranging our schedules so we could spend as much time together as possible.

After graduation, Eleana moved to Dallas while Landon stayed in Fort Worth, and together we navigated the adventures and challenges of post-grad life. Through new jobs, new routines, and plenty of miles on I-30, we continued building the life we had always dreamed about. When we graduated from TCU, we knew this wasn't the end of our story; it was only the beginning.

Then came the infamous Cabo trip. For months, Eleana had meticulously planned every detail. And if you know Eleana, you know one thing: surprising her is nearly impossible. She can spot a secret from a mile away, asks approximately 47 follow-up questions, and somehow always figures things out. Or so she thought. Just eight hours after landing in Cabo, before the trip had really even begun, Landon completely caught her off guard.  At the top of a hill, with the church behind them and a future ahead of them, he got down on one knee and asked the easiest question of his life. For perhaps the first time ever, Eleana was speechless. She said yes.

Now we're getting married in Vail, a place that has been woven into our relationship from the beginning. It's where we've shared adventures, made memories, and fallen even more in love with each other, and with the life we're building together. Thank you for being here, for loving us, and for being part of this story.

We can't wait to celebrate with all of you as we begin our greatest adventure yet.

And yes, there will probably be ice cream involved.
